About Us
Ever since Circa Asia was created in April 2002, our goal has been to provide our customers with the highest quality handcrafted items from Southeast Asia. Not only do we want to allow our artisans an opportunity to express their true talents and to encourage their creativity, but we want to provide you with direct access to unique, difficult-to-find items at great values.
These days, we are often exposed to so many mass merchandised items. At Circa Asia, we work extremely hard traveling to small towns and villages to find the most talented craftspeople and artisans. Occasionally, we purchase what they make, but more often, our items are designs that we have created while utilizing their years of expertise in detail oriented workmanship.
Having spent much time with each of our artisans, we take great pride in looking closely after them. Thus, we ensure that they are all paid fairly and work in safe conditions. Their work is impeccable but the handcrafted nature of certain products will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities.
